Spacewalk - an inspirational and unexpected encounter in Swinley forest




This project will be a seamless fusion of sculpture, science education and digital technology, Spacewalk will be an iconic exhibit that is a one to 10-billion scale model of our Solar System. But more than just that, it offers visitors a personalised experience of the solar system with the chance to upload data your own data and explore how we fit into the Solar Systems bigger picture.



Spacewalk will spanning over 600 metres with 9 sculptured interactive exhibits. They will start from inside The Look Out Discovery Centre and finish deep within the surrounding Swinley forest. You can see this on our picture below!

Swinley Forest is used by over half a million people every year.  It is a delightful forest with a wide range of walks and activities base in and around the forest. These is some of the wide pathways through the forest where the 9 interactives will be based. We have identified the main walkways that most people use for the placement of this proposed project.
